Share your journey of collaborative practice set up with physician and guidance for fellow pharmacists? Crazy loopy journey which started with an idea. I could write all night, but overall, I set my intention for what I wanted, hired business mentors, created a plan to get there, continued to take action even when things did not work out the way I thought they should, and landed in the space I initially intended.
How do you vision this as a future for pharmacist as providers? This IS the future for pharmacists as providers, whether in the actual provider office, a retail pharmacy, or hospital setting. Doctors will diagnose and pharmacists will manage medications.
Any additional insight or stories you want to share? Pharmacogenomics will continue to become standard of care in pharmacy. Recommend additional training if you have not already received it. My patients succeed . My doctors succeed. I succeed. Everyone is engaged in their circle of genius.
